Frequently Asked Questions
Farmers Club
Who is Farmers Club?
Farmers Club is a South African free range beef brand by Livestock Wealth that enables people to invest and own organic, free range grass-fed oxen as they grow on a farm. When fully grown, they are supplied directly to the consumer as beef.
How does it work?
Investors buy oxen that grow under our partner-farmers care. The farmer buys back the asset once it has fully grown at harvest at a higher price for the investor to make a profit. The farmer then sells the meat to Farmers Club. The investor makes a profit from the sale of the full grown ox.
How can I trust the quality of the meat?
Farmers Club Grassbeef is produced and processed in accordance with the South African Meat Industry Company (SAMIC) protocol. We’ve supplied SA’s leading retailers with over 200 tons of our free range beef since 2019. Now, we are also supplying the same meat directly to the consumer.
Our Grassbeef™ ticks all the boxes:
- Free Range
- Hormone Free
- Antibiotic Free
- Grass Fed
- Delivered monthly to your door in refrigerated trucks
- Hygiene and supply chain standards of the highest level
How do we provide such a great price?
Traditional retailers throw away a lot of unsold meat; this causes them to increase their prices to cover their losses.
By buying directly from the farmer, you remove the middle man and the cost of food waste, which saves you money.
Our monthly subscription model connects you directly to the farmers, helping them to produce just enough for you and other members of the Farmers Club.
We are the only meat merchant that can pinpoint the farm your beef was grown on and what your cow looked like. This results in free-range Grassbeef that can be traced from the fork back to the farm.
